Intuition is logic you can't see
Intuition isn't a heart feeling - it's your brain computing on a lifetime of data you can't consciously see. Once you can tell it apart from wishful thinking, those are the calls worth trusting without hesitation.
The value of our work is not our worth as people
Great work doesn't make someone a good person - that part is easy to see. The harder, more important reverse: unimpressive work doesn't make someone worthless, and the gap between the two is where courage lives.
Why don't some people take action after making a decision?
It's flattering to blame hesitation on being smart enough to see every risk. The real reason is quieter: not believing you can make your decisions real - and the gap before acting produces mostly doubt.
Being great at everything is being great at nothing
Good is cheap - about 20 hours. Great is expensive because of diminishing returns, and nobody has the hours to pay that price in every field. So try to be good at everything; don't try to be great at everything.
Littering is a sign of low IQ
Not low IQ in the test-score sense - low intelligence about people. Great things are only ever built by groups, and littering is a quiet bet that someone else will clean up.
"Whether you think you can or you think you can't - you're right"
Greatness isn't innate; it's practice, and belief is a muscle you train logically. Set a milestone you can actually hit, hit it, and let the win compound.
The recipe was developed, but the bread never got baked
Polishing the idea forever is a dopamine trap - the idea doesn't produce the result, it multiplies the execution behind it. A brilliant recipe times zero baking is still zero bread.
Character is not built in good times, but in bad times
Hardship teaches more than ease - but too much of it narrows you. Why a pile of failures is the foundation a few exceptional decisions stand on.
Emotion blurs logic
Reacting is instinct; responding is a choice that rarely feels like one. The two anchors that moved me from one to the other.
